(a)On July 1, 2025, the 911 coordinating council established pursuant to K.S.A. 12-5364, prior to its repeal, is hereby abolished and the powers, duties and functions vested in and imposed upon the 911 coordinating council are hereby transferred to, vested in and imposed upon the state 911 board.
(b)On July 1, 2025, all employees of the 911 coordinating council who, immediately prior to such date, were engaged in the performance of the powers, duties or functions that are transferred pursuant to this act, and who, in the opinion of the board, are necessary to perform the powers, duties and functions of the board, shall be transferred to and shall become employees of the board.
