§ 12-5384 — Powers and duties of state 911 board; employment of executive director and other employees; imposition of civil penalties for certain violations of law

Kansas·Ch. 12 CITIES AND MUNICIPALITIES·Art. 53 EMERGENCY TELEPHONE SERVICES
(a)The state 911 board shall:
(1)Coordinate E-911 services and next generation 911 services in the state;
(2)implement statewide 911 communications planning;
(3)monitor the delivery of 911communications services in the state;
(4)develop strategies for future enhancements to the 911 system;
(5)administer and oversee grants to PSAPs;
(6)develop technology standards;
(7)establish minimum training requirements for PSAP personnel, GIS technicians and information technology technicians with respect to the statewide NG911 call handling system technology to ensure public safety across Kansas;
(8)employ a full-time executive director; and
(9)make an annual report of all expenditures from the 911 fees imposed pursuant to K.S.A. 12-5369 and 12-5371, and amendments thereto, to the house of r
