Text
(a)The governing body of any city in which is located a veterans affairs medical center, may exclude the veterans affairs medical center land from the corporate limits of the city in the manner provided by this section. The city shall adopt a resolution stating that the city is considering the exclusion of such land. The resolution shall:
(1)Give notice that a public hearing will be held to consider the exclusion of the land and fix the date, hour and place of the public hearing; and
(2)describe the boundaries of the land to be excluded.
The date fixed for the public hearing shall not be less than 60 nor more than 70 days following the date of the adoption of the resolution fixing the date of the hearing. A copy of the resolution shall be mailed by certified mail to the director or pers
