§ 12-4116 — Judicial branch education fund; assessments against municipal cases

Kansas·Ch. 12 CITIES AND MUNICIPALITIES·Art. 41 CODE FOR MUNICIPAL COURTS; GENERAL PROVISIONS
In each case filed in municipal court where there is a finding of guilty or a plea of guilty, a plea of no contest, forfeiture of bond, or a diversion, a sum in an amount not to exceed $1 shall be assessed for the training, testing and continuing judicial education of municipal judges as provided in K.S.A. 12-4114, and amendments thereto. Except as provided herein, the judge or clerk of the municipal court shall remit all assessments received pursuant to this section to the state treasurer in accordance with the provisions of K.S.A. 75-4215, and amendments thereto. Upon receipt of each such remittance, the state treasurer shall deposit the entire amount in the state treasury to the credit of the judicial branch education fund.
