Text

The governing body of any city may provide for the planting, maintenance, treatment or removal of trees and shrubbery upon all streets, alleys, avenues, boulevards and public rights-of-way of the city as a municipal function. In any city which now has, or may hereafter have a board of park commissioners, the governing body may vest such authority in the board of park commissioners.
