Text

The governing body of any city may provide by ordinance for the reimbursement to any person, firm, or corporation of all or any part of the motor-fuel tax or the special fuel tax imposed by law which has been paid by such person, firm, or corporation on motor fuels or special fuels used for the purpose of operating or propelling motor vehicles in connection with the transportation of persons in the operation of a franchised mass public transportation system over fixed routes within such city and its immediate environs. Such reimbursements shall be paid from the street fund of such city to which is credited funds received under the provisions of K.S.A. 79-3425b.
