Text
Whenever the municipal organization of any city has become dormant by resignation or vacation of all city offices therein, it shall be the duty of the township board of the township where such city is located to take charge of all the property of the city and hold the same in trust for the city; and the township board shall have the same power and like authority to do all acts for and in behalf of such dormant city, and in the same manner as the township board is empowered to do for the township which it represents.
