Text
(a)Whenever the governing body of any municipality as defined by K.S.A. 10-101, and amendments thereto, adopts an ordinance or resolution creating any public improvement or special benefit district or any other district having the power to impose special assessments upon the taxable tangible real property in the district, the clerk or secretary of the municipality shall file a certified copy of the ordinance or resolution, within five days of the adoption thereof, with the register of deeds of the county or counties in which the municipality is located. No fee shall be charged for the filing and the register of deeds shall file, record and index the certified copy. The ordinance or resolution shall state:
(1)The boundaries of the improvement district;
(2)the nature of the improvement;
