Text
The city clerk, or the township clerk, shall keep suitable records of the proceedings of the council or township board in reference to the carrying out of the provisions of this act. He or she shall also record therein the deeds in trust for trust funds, the approval of the same, and the receipt of the city or township treasurer for the funds, and such records shall be provided for and kept as other records of the city or township. The deeds in trust may be returned to the makers after endorsing on the back thereof the clerk's certificate of record showing the book, page and date of record of the same.
