§ 12-11a02 — Same; special law enforcement fund; use of proceeds from tax levy

Kansas·Ch. 12 CITIES AND MUNICIPALITIES·Art. 11a LAW ENFORCEMENT
All moneys derived from taxes levied under the authority of K.S.A. 12-11a01, except for an amount to pay a portion of the principal and interest on bonds issued by such city under the authority of K.S.A. 12-1774, and amendments thereto, shall be placed in a special law enforcement fund and shall be used only for the purpose of providing additional law enforcement personnel and equipment for such county. The board of county commissioners in its discretion may compensate the sheriff and county attorney for additional duties resulting from such expanded law enforcement program and such compensation shall be in addition to all other compensation and salaries now prescribed by law for such officers.
