§ 9-17-2-18 — Watercraft certificate of title; failure to surrender; violation
Indiana·Title 9 MOTOR VEHICLES·Art. 17 CERTIFICATES OF TITLE·Ch. 2 General Procedures for Obtaining Certificates of Title
A person that owns a watercraft commits a Class A infraction if the person does any of the following:
(1)Allows the watercraft to be operated in Indiana without having
a certificate of title as required under this title.
(2)Fails to surrender the certificate of title for the watercraft to
the bureau if the bureau cancels the certificate of title.
(3)Fails to surrender the certificate of title for the watercraft to
the bureau if the watercraft is:
(A)destroyed;
(B)dismantled; or
(C)changed in a manner that the watercraft is no longer the
watercraft described in the certificate of title.
