Before the court may issue an order for possession without notice under section 12 of this chapter, the plaintiff or the plaintiff’s attorney must file an affidavit or certificate showing:

(1)the efforts, if any, that have been made to give notice; and
(2)the reasons why notice of the application for the order cannot be given. [Pre-2002 Recodification Citation: 34-21-4-3.]
