Text
A person who desires to acquire the lien
provided for in section 12 of this chapter must give notice of the
person's intention to hold the lien by causing the notice to be recorded
in the recorder's office of the county in which the work was done or
material furnished in the same manner and within the same time as
provided in this chapter for giving notice of a mechanic's lien. A person
who gives notice within the proper time may enforce the lien in the
same manner as mechanic's liens are enforced. The suit must be
brought within one (1) year after the time the notice was filed in the
recorder's office.
