Text

(a)Within five (5) days after the owner of a stray animal confined under section 4 of this chapter receives a notice under section 7 of this chapter, the owner may file a civil action to:
(1)controvert the amount of damages assessed; or
(2)deny the trespass.
(b)If the owner of a stray animal confined under section 4 of this chapter files an action under subsection (a), the cause shall be docketed for trial. [Pre-2002 Recodification Citation: 32-10-2-9.]
