Text

If coordinates are used to describe any tract of land, that, in the same document, is also described by reference to any subdivision, line, or corner of the United States public land surveys:

(1)the description by coordinates shall be construed as supplemental to the basic description of the subdivision, line, or corner contained in the official plats and field notes filed of record; and
(2)in the event of any conflict, the description by reference to the subdivision, line, or corner of the United States public land surveys prevails over the description by coordinates. [Pre-2002 Recodification Citation: 32-1-1-8.]
