Text
The following grades for sweet potatoes are
hereby established and shall be known as the Indiana Grades for sweet
potatoes.
Grade No. 1 shall consist of cured sweet potatoes from warm air
storage, shall be not less than one and one-half (1 1/2) inches and not
more than three and one-half (3 1/2) inches in diameter, and not less
than four (4) inches and not more than eleven (11) inches in length, but
the length may be less than four (4) inches if the diameter is two and
one-fourth (2 1/4) inches or more. Sweet potatoes which are graded at
the time they are dug shall be not less than one and three-fourths (1
3/4) inches and not more than four (4) inches in diameter. All sweet
potatoes classed as grade No. 1 sweet potatoes shall be sound, of
similar varietal characteristics, practically free
