Text
Definition: "Home Solicitation Sale" — "Home solicitation sale" means a consumer credit sale of goods, other than farm equipment, or services in which:
(1)the seller or a person acting for him engages in a personal
solicitation of the sale, including a solicitation over the telephone,
at a residence of the buyer and the buyer's agreement or offer to
purchase is there given to the seller or a person acting for him; or
(2)the seller or his agent, solicits a sale in a city or town in which
the seller does not have a permanent business establishment,
through mailings, advertisements, or telephone calls, which require
the buyer to meet the seller or his agent at a place other than the
seller's permanent business establishment.
