Text
(a)"Automobile club" means a person that, for
consideration, promises to assist its members or subscribers in matters
relating to:
(1)motor travel; or
(2)the operation, use, or maintenance of a motor vehicle;
by supplying services, which may include towing service, emergency
road service, or indemnification service.
(b)The term includes:
(1)a motor vehicle dealer; or
(2)an insurance company;
operating as an automobile club to provide any of the services
described in subsection (a).
