Text
(a)Not less than twenty-five percent (25%)
of the money appropriated by the general assembly for adult education
and literacy activities shall be used for the services described in section
0.5(c)(8) through 0.5(c)(9) of this chapter.
(b)Not more than twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) of the
money appropriated by the general assembly for adult education and
literacy activities shall be used for adult education grants to employers
as provided under subsection (c).
(c)An employer is eligible for an adult education grant for each
eligible employee who obtains a high school diploma or a high school
equivalency diploma. The amount of the grant is one thousand dollars
($1,000).
(d)To qualify as an eligible employee under subsection (c), an
individual must meet all of the following criter
