(a)For purposes of section 3 of this
chapter, not later than the sixth week after the week an individual
begins receiving benefits but not earlier than the fourth week after the
week an individual begins receiving benefits, the individual must be
scheduled to visit and receive an orientation to the services available
through a one stop center (as defined by IC 22-4.1-1-5). The individual
must appear when scheduled, but in any event, the individual's
orientation must be completed not later than the sixth week after the
week the individual begins receiving benefits.
(b)The department may waive the requirements of subsection (a):
(1)as determined by the department; or
(2)when one (1) of the following applies to an individual:
(A)The individual is attending training or retraining appro
