Text

(a)An award of compensation ordered by a single hearing member of the worker's compensation board must be paid not later than thirty (30) days after the date of the award, or as the award provides, if the award is not appealed to the full board. An employer that fails to comply with this subsection is subject to a civil penalty under IC 22-3-4-15.
(b)When so provided in the compensation agreement or in the award of the worker's compensation board, compensation may be paid semimonthly, or monthly, instead of weekly. Formerly: Acts 1929, c.172, s.42. As amended by P.L.28-1988, SEC.30; P.L.204-2018, SEC.6.
