Text
(a)This section does not apply to minor
construction that is exempted from this section under IC 22-13-4.
(b)This section applies to the following:
(1)Each person who installs or alters a regulated lifting device,
whether or not required to be licensed under IC 22-15-5-7, IC 22-15-5-8, IC 22-15-5-9, IC 22-15-5-10, IC 22-15-5-11, or IC 22-15-5-12. However, the installation, alteration, or maintenance
of a regulated lifting device to which ASME A18.1 applies is not
required to be performed by a mechanic licensed under IC 22-15-5-12 or by a contractor licensed under IC 22-15-5-7.
(2)Each person who has control over the installation or alteration
of a regulated lifting device.
(3)Each person who has control over the place where the
regulated lifting device is installed or altered.
