5.
(a)The governor shall appoint a state
building commissioner. The state building commissioner shall serve:
(1)at the pleasure of the governor; and
(2)as a full-time employee of the department of homeland
security established by IC 10-19-2-1.
(b)The state building commissioner must be a registered or licensed
design professional under IC 25-4 or IC 25-31, as appropriate, with at
least ten (10) years of experience in the building trades industry.
