Text

(a)This section applies to the following laboratories:
(1)Analytical laboratories approved by the department under the alternative criteria established by the commission in its rules.
(2)Laboratories that are:
(A)operated by a college, university, school, or other educational entity for the purpose of instruction or research; and
(B)approved by the department under the alternative criteria established by the commission in the rules.
(b)The commission may:
(1)apply different rules to the manufacture of regulated explosives (as defined in IC 35-47.5-2-13) in a laboratory described in subsection (a) than apply to other places where regulated explosives (as defined in IC 35-47.5-2-13) are manufactured; and
(2)adopt rules under IC 4-22-2 to exempt laboratories described in subsection (a
