(a)Each member of the education board who is not a state employee is entitled to the minimum salary per diem provided by IC 4-10-11-2.1(b) for attendance at meetings of the education board where at least a quorum of its members are present, unless the member is a state employee. Such a member of the education board is also entitled to reimbursement for travel expenses and other expenses actually incurred in connection with attending a meeting of the education board where at least a quorum of its members are present, as provided in the state travel policies and procedures established by the department of administration and approved by the state budget agency.
