§ 22-12-2-2 — Membership
Indiana·Art. 12 FIRE SAFETY, BUILDING, AND EQUIPMENT·Ch. 2 Fire Prevention and Building Safety Commission
(a)The commission consists of twelve (12)
members, ten (10) of whom shall be appointed by the governor.
(b)The term of a commission member is four (4) years.
(c)The state health commissioner or the commissioner's designee
shall serve as a member of the commission and the commissioner of
labor or the commissioner's designee shall serve as a member of the
commission.
(d)Beginning August 1, 2023, the appointed commission members
must contain one (1) of each of the following:
(1)A fire official.
(2)An architect licensed under IC 25-4.
(3)A professional engineer licensed under IC 25-31.
(4)A remodeler with experience in residential or commercial
remodeling.
(5)A contractor with experience building low income single
family or low income multifamily housing.
(6)A member of the Indiana A
