Text
(a)The state geologist, while holding the office
of state geologist, shall be regarded as a member of the faculty of
Indiana University. The state geologist may be appointed to a full-time
or part-time position on the faculty of Indiana University.
(b)The state geologist shall be chosen by Indiana University. The
state geologist shall serve for an indefinite period at the pleasure of
Indiana University.
(c)The state geologist shall direct the collection and archiving of
rock, mineral, soil, and other geological samples. These samples shall
be retained, as considered proper by the state geologist, at Indiana
University.
