(a)Upon receipt of an application for authorization under this chapter, the board for proprietary education shall make an investigation to determine the accuracy of the statements in the application to determine if the postsecondary credit bearing proprietary educational institution meets the minimum standards for authorization.
(b)During the investigation under subsection (a), the board for proprietary education may grant a temporary status of authorization. The temporary status of authorization is sufficient to meet the requirements of this chapter until a determination on authorization is made.
