§ 21-14-5-5 — Additional duties of state educational institutions
Indiana·Title 21 HIGHER EDUCATION·Art. 14 STATE EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS:·Ch. 5 Tuition Exemption for Senior Citizens
(a)A state educational institution may receive
a reimbursement from the fund for an amount equal to:
(1)the amount of total tuition waived under this chapter; or
(2)if the amount in the fund is insufficient to cover the tuition
waivers for all of the institutions, a pro rata reduction of the
amount of total tuition waivers based upon the number of senior
citizens for which the institution provides tuition waivers
compared to the total number of senior citizens who participate
under this chapter statewide.
(b)To receive a reimbursement under subsection (a), the state
educational institution must apply to the commission, on forms
provided by the commission, for the reimbursement.
