§ 2-5-53-6 — Members; quorum; meetings

(a) Except as provided in subsections (b), (c),
(d), and (e), IC 2-5-1.2 applies to the task force.
(b) The task force consists of the following ten (10) members of the
general assembly:
(1) Three (3) members appointed by the president pro tempore of
the senate.
(2) Two (2) members appointed by the minority leader of the
senate.
(3) Three (3) members appointed by the speaker of the house of
representatives.
(4) Two (2) members appointed by the minority leader of the
house of representatives.
A member of the task force serves at the pleasure of the appointing
authority.
(c) The task force shall meet as called by the chair. All meetings of
the task force shall be open to the public in accordance with and
subject to IC 5-14-1.5. All records of the task force shall be subject to
the requirements of IC 5-14-3.
(d) A majority of the members of the task force constitutes a
quorum. The affirmative vote of at least a majority of the members at
a meeting at which a quorum is present is necessary for the task force
to take official action other than to meet and take testimony.
(e) The:
(1) chairman of the legislative council shall designate the chair;
and
(2) vice chairman of the legislative council shall designate the
vice chair;
of the task force from the members of the task force. The chair and vice
chair of the task force serve as chair and vice chair at the pleasure of
the appointing authority.
