Text
Whenever pursuant to a resolution of the general
assembly or either house thereof and pursuant to the authority vested
in the general assembly or either house thereof an investigation is
instituted in aid of its proper legislative functions, the house of
representatives or the senate, or any committee of either or of both of
said houses to which the duty of said investigation shall be entrusted,
shall have the power to subpoena witnesses, send for and compel the
production of books, records, papers and documents.
