§ 16-49-4-4 — Duties of committee
Indiana·Title 16 HEALTH·Art. 49 CHILD FATALITY REVIEWS·Ch. 4 Statewide Child Fatality Review Committee
The statewide child fatality review committee shall do the following:
(1)Compile and analyze data recorded by local child fatality
review teams in reviewing child fatalities.
(2)Review child mortality records and examine all other records
relevant to child fatalities in Indiana.
(3)Assist efforts by local child fatality review teams by:
(A)overseeing the creation of standardized forms and protocols
necessary for the review of child deaths;
(B)providing expertise by answering questions related to a
child's death that a local child fatality review team is reviewing;
(C)establishing and sponsoring training programs for members
of local child fatality review teams; and
(D)providing, upon request of a local child fatality review
team, expertise in creating local prevention strategies.
