§ 16-46-9-3 — Examination and treatment costs
Indiana·Title 16 HEALTH·Art. 46 STATE HEALTH GRANTS AND PROGRAMS·Ch. 9 Grants for Tuberculosis Programs
(a)Subject to subsection (b), the entire cost of
the examination and treatment of a patient at an outpatient tuberculosis
treatment center shall be paid by the county of residence of the patient
if the patient is financially unable to do so.
(b)The entire cost of examination and treatment under subsection
(a)shall be reduced by five dollars ($5) per examination and treatment.
This amount represents a subsidy from the state in the interests of the
control of tuberculosis and the maintenance of public health.
