Text
The state department may do the following:
(1)Develop the application criteria and standards for eligibility
for cancer centers that apply for grants under the program.
(2)Make available grants to cancer centers that meet the
eligibility standards developed under subdivision (1). However,
the state department shall prioritize grants to cancer centers in the
following order:
(A)A cancer center described in section 1(1) of this chapter.
(B)A cancer center described in section 1(2) of this chapter.
(3)Determine the maximum amount available for each grant.
(4)Determine policies for the expiration and renewal of grants.
(5)Require that each grant be used for the purpose of breast
cancer research.
(6)Adopt rules under IC 4-22-2 necessary to implement this
chapter.
