(a)The state department may do the following:
(1)Develop the application and the criteria and standards of eligibility for entities described in subsection (b) that apply for a grant under this chapter.
(2)Establish criteria for determining the grant amount to be awarded to an approved applicant and the terms of an awarded grant, including placing a priority on providing grants for the following:
(A)Innovative research and treatments with the potential of resulting in novel therapies for pediatric cancer.
(B)Research and treatment identified by the state department as part of the state department's needs assessment under subdivision (6)(B) to address the state's highest needs concerning pediatric cancer in Indiana children.
(3)Determine policies for the expiration and renewal of a gr
