§ 16-44-2-14 — Railroad and transportation companies; records; inspections

(a)Every agent and employee of any railroad company or other transportation company that has the custody of books or records showing the shipment or receipt of petroleum products shall give and permit the state department or the state department's agents and employees free access to those books and records for the purpose of determining the amount of those products shipped and received.
(b)All clerks, bookkeepers, express agents, railroad agents or officials, employees of common carriers or contract carriers, or other persons shall assist the state department or the state department's employees or authorized agents, when so requested, in tracing, finding, and inspecting shipments.
