§ 16-41-40-3 — Awareness and prevention program
Indiana·Title 16 HEALTH·Art. 41 PUBLIC HEALTH MEASURES FOR THE·Ch. 40 Shaken Baby Syndrome Education
(a)The state department, with the assistance
of the department of child services shall establish a program focusing
on awareness and prevention of childhood hazards.
(b)If a program is established under subsection (a), the state
department or the department of child services may contract with a
statewide nonprofit organization with experience and knowledge in
childhood hazards to implement all or part of the program.
