§ 16-41-22-12 — Approval of licenses
Indiana·Title 16 HEALTH·Art. 41 PUBLIC HEALTH MEASURES FOR THE·Ch. 22 Health, Sanitation, and Safety: Mass Gatherings
(a)The chief of police or the sheriff to
whom the application is made shall on the same day forward the
application with the chief of police's or sheriff's recommendations to
the local health department.
(b)The local health department shall examine the application and
make the investigation that the local health department considers
necessary and either approve or disapprove the application not more
than fifteen (15) days after receipt. Immediately after making a
determination, the local health department shall return the application,
marked approved or disapproved, to the sheriff or chief of police who
submitted the application.
(c)The sheriff or chief of police shall notify the applicant within
five (5) days that the application has been disapproved or that the
