§ 16-41-15-6 — Infant eye examinations; treatment
Indiana·Title 16 HEALTH·Art. 41 PUBLIC HEALTH MEASURES FOR THE·Ch. 15 Communicable Disease: Prevention and Control of
A person in professional attendance at a birth
shall carefully examine the eyes of the infant and if there is reason for
suspecting infection in one (1) or both eyes, the person in professional
attendance at the birth shall apply such prophylactic treatment as may
be prescribed by the state department.
