Text
The local health officer shall prepare a
certificate of birth for a child of unknown parentage. The place where
the child was found or where custody was assumed shall be known as
the place of birth and the date of birth shall be determined by
approximation. If the child is identified or if a regular certificate of
birth is found or obtained, the local health officer shall correct the
health officer's records and file a corrected certificate of birth with the
state department.
