The state department shall do the following:

(1)Prescribe the information to be contained in each kind of application, certificate, report, or permit required by this article.

(2)Adopt rules under IC 4-22-2 for the following:

(A)Collecting, transcribing, compiling, and preserving vital statistics.

(B)The form, execution, filing, and recording of paternity affidavits executed under IC 16-37-2-2.1. [Pre-1993 Recodification Citation: 16-1-15-5.]
