Effective 9-1-2025. Sec. 4. Before a health care facility may allow an individual to work as a qualified medication aide, the health care facility must verify that an individual has met certification requirements of this chapter and is included on the registry established under IC 16-27.5-1. However, an individual may begin working if the individual can prove that the individual:

(1)successfully completed a qualified medication aide training and competency evaluation program approved by the commission; and
(2)has not yet been included on the registry.
