§ 16-24-1-18 — Superintendent; powers and responsibilities

Indiana·Title 16 HEALTH·Art. 24 TUBERCULOSIS HOSPITALS·Ch. 1 County Tuberculosis Hospitals; Power of County Board;

The superintendent is the chief executive officer of the hospital and subject to the bylaws and rules of the hospital and to the powers of the board of managers. The superintendent has the following powers and responsibilities:

(1)To do the following:
(A)Equip the hospital and other necessary facilities for the following:
(i)The care and treatment of patients.
(ii)Use of officers and employees.
(B)In counties without a business manager or purchasing agent for the hospital, to purchase all necessary supplies.
(2)To do the following:
(A)Supervise and control the records, accounts, and buildings of the hospital and the hospital's internal affairs.
(B)Maintain discipline and enforce all rules, bylaws, and regulations adopted by the board of managers for the government, discipline, and
