§ 16-23-6-1 — Application of chapter
Indiana·Title 16 HEALTH·Art. 23 MUNICIPAL AND OTHER TYPES OF·Ch. 6 Lease of Hospital Property by Cities to Nonprofit
This chapter applies to a city that:
(1)owns a hospital consisting of grounds, buildings, equipment,
and furnishings; and
(2)is located within a county with a nonprofit hospital
corporation, whose general corporate powers are exercised by a
board of directors composed of residents of the county:
(A)one (1) of whom must be a member of or a person
designated by the county executive;
(B)one (1) of whom may be a licensed physician; and
(C)all of whom are elected by the members of the corporation,
who must be representatives of each duly organized church,
religious association, labor union, fraternal, charitable, military,
and civic organization in the county.
