Text
(a)The county treasurer shall collect all
hospital aid taxes levied by the county fiscal body or city fiscal body as
other taxes on property are collected, and the county auditor shall pay
over the amount to the clerk-treasurer of the city. The amount shall be
placed in the hospital fund of the city, subject to the order of the
governing board, and is available for the payment of maintenance,
equipment, supplies, and operating expenses of the city hospital and for
any other purpose for which the current budget of the hospital provides.
(b)The clerk-treasurer shall keep the hospital aid money levied by
the county fiscal body or the city fiscal body in separate items on the
appropriation records of the city. The amount received from the
hospital aid levy of the county shall be considered a
