§ 16-23-1-17 — Duties of governing board officers
Indiana·Title 16 HEALTH·Art. 23 MUNICIPAL AND OTHER TYPES OF·Ch. 1 City Hospitals in Third Class Cities
(a)The president shall preside at the regular
and special meetings of the governing board and shall perform all other
duties that are authorized or required by the board or the board's
bylaws, rules, and regulations.
(b)The vice president shall discharge the duties of the president if
any of the following occurs:
(1)The president is incapacitated or absent.
(2)There is a vacancy in the office of president.
(3)The president relinquishes the president's duties as presiding
officer at any meeting.
(c)The secretary serves as executive officer of the board, acting for
the board and exercising the powers and performing the duties at board
meetings and during the intervals between meetings that the board
authorizes.
