Text
(a)The city clerk-treasurer is ex officio
treasurer of the board of directors, unless the board appoints a separate
treasurer under section 14 of this chapter. The clerk-treasurer serves
without additional compensation and does not have a vote on any
matter or question coming before the board.
(b)A certificate of official character and additional oath or bond is
not required of the clerk-treasurer, but the city fiscal body, in fixing the
amount of the official bond as clerk-treasurer, shall take into
consideration the amount of money under the clerk-treasurer's control
for hospital purposes, as well as other city funds.
