(a)The appointing board established under section 4 of this chapter shall issue a certificate of appointment to each member of the board of directors chosen. The certificate shall be executed by a majority of the appointing board and attested by the county auditor who shall act as secretary of the appointing board.
(b)Each member of the governing board shall execute and file with the county recorder, including a copy in the office of the city clerk-treasurer, an oath and a bond in the amount of two thousand dollars ($2,000) for the honest and faithful performance of the member's duties. The bonds are subject to approval by the city executive. If a surety company bond is given, the cost of the bond shall be paid from hospital funds.
