§ 16-22-8-40 — Additional hospitals; improvements to existing hospitals

Whenever the board determines that there
is a need for an additional hospital or an addition or improvement to an
existing hospital, the board may purchase suitable grounds, construct
suitable buildings and improvements for hospital purposes, and do all
that is necessary to acquire, establish, construct, erect, equip, and
maintain the hospital, addition, or improvement.
