1.
(a)A hospital's quality assessment and
improvement program under 410 IAC 15-1.4-2 must include a process
for determining and reporting the occurrence of serious reportable
events, as identified by the National Quality Forum.
(b)The executive board may not require a hospital's quality
assessment and improvement program to determine and report any
other types of events that are not described in subsection (a).
(c)The executive board may adopt rules under IC 4-22-2 to
implement this section.
